About Twinkle Chef

Twinkle Chef is a creative baking hut and is the concept and brainchild of Helen whose passion for baking is only matched by her love for children. Being a mother herself, she finds immense gratification in sharing her joy of baking with her children through hands-on practical sessions. She believes that the step-by-step process of baking helps her children develop a systematic way of thinking while understanding concepts of proportions (ounces, grams etc) and also the intrinsic properties of various ingredients (sweet, fluffy, bitter etc).

Helen also believes that baking activities will inspire children's curiosity and develop their thinking skill. Most importantly, the children will develop social and emotional skill such as showing pride in their ability to produce a snack that they and others can enjoy.

However, she found difficulties in having her children in a home kitchen as the environment is not always conducive or safe. Helen felt that a structured and comprehensive baking program would be a great enrichment activity for children, parent-child interaction and even adults new to the world of baking.

With this vision and drive, Helen decided to put her idea into action and thus Twinkle Chef was born.
